Satu lagi bangunan yang menarik di Pandaan-Pasuruan yaitu Masjid Cheng Ho.

Masjid ini didirikan pada tahun 2003 oleh sebuah  yayasan  komunitas muslim Cina bernuansa budaya Cina. Bangunan Masjid berukuran 50 m x 50 m, terdiri dari dua lantai ini diresmikan pada 2008 oleh bupati pasuruan.

Masjid ini dibangun untuk mengenang Laksamana Cheng ho.

Purwodadi Botanical Garden

Purwodadi Botanical Garden is a garden located in a large study Purwodadi, Pasuruan , East Java , Indonesia . The extent of 85 acres and has about 10,000 species of trees and plant collections.
 

History

 
Purwodadi botanical garden was established on January 30th 1941 by Dr. Lourens Gerhard Marinus Baas Becking on the initiative of Dr. Dirk van Slooten Fok on January 30, 1941 as a division of the Experimental Station 's Lands Plantentuin Buitenzorg or the Botanical Garden . This garden is one of the three branches of the Botanical Gardens Indonesia (Bogor Botanical Gardens) which each have specific tasks and functions. Both of the other branch is the gardens Cibodas and Eka Karya Bali Botanic Gardens . Management of all the Botanical Gardens are located under the responsibility of Indonesian Institute of Sciences.

At first the garden was used for plantation crops research activities. Then in 1954 began to apply the basics of the commencement of manufacture patches of plant collections. Since 1980 some plants were reorganized according to ethnic groups who embrace and Pranti Engler system of classification. Branch development is expected in the Botanical Gardens Purwodadi Hall will become conservation and research center of the dry climate plants in the tropics.

 

Trees and Plants Collections

Legumes

 
Classified into three tribes, namely Mimosaceae , Caesalpiniaceae and Papilionaceae . There are 157 species of 70 genera belonging to these tribes. Various types of beans used as ornamental plants such as the types of genera Amherstia, Brownea, Cassia, Senna, and Saraca. In addition, several types of wood are also used for buildings such as rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) and wangkal (Albizia procera), and green plants such as roadside Angsana (Pterocarpus indicus), acacia (Acacia auriculiformis) and Soga (Peltophorum pterocarpum). Some are used as medicinal plants such as Johar (Senna Siamea), Kedawung (Parkia timoriana), Dadap srep (Erythrina subumbrans), and chicken Dadap (Erythrina orientalis).
  

Orchid

Placed in a greenhouse where conditions adapted to their natural habitat. There are about 2344 natural orchid specimens consisting of 319 species, 69 genera, and 277 are still sp .. About 7 species are endemic orchid East Java as Appendicula imbricata, arcuatum Dendrobium, Paphiopedilum glaucophyllum ( Slippers Orchid ), and others. While that is endangered in the wild include Ascocentrum miniatum, Phalaenopsis amabilis ( orchid months ), Coelogyne pandurata ( black orchid ) from Borneo and others.
 

Palm

Included in the palm family Arecaceae and is the oldest species that have been found since the time of Cretaceus, approximately 120 million years ago. Arecaceae is very attractive in terms of botany, the beauty of its shape, species diversity and usefulness. Family Arecaceae in the world is estimated to 200-300 genera and 2000-3000 species scattered around the tropics and sub tropics. Indonesia is the world's center of diversity of palm, from the palm in the world there are 46 genera (576 species) found in Indonesia and 29 genera are endemic palms. (Ibn-LIPI, 1978; Witono, 1998; Sharma, 2002; Chin, 2003). As one of the institutions ex-situ conservation of plants, the Botanical Gardens has the task of carrying out an inventory Purwodadi, exploration, collection and maintenance of planting lowland dry vegetation that has a value of science and the potential for collection (conserved). Botanical Gardens area of ​​845 148 m2 Purwodadi has 174 families, 904 genera and 1896 species with a collection of some 60 genera Arecaceae 117 species and 435 individuals based on catalog 2006 (Suprapto et al., 2006).
 

Bamboo

About 30 species of bamboo have been collected Purwodadi Botanical Garden, 16 species are from Java , two types of Maluku , two species of Sulawesi , and 10 species of Asian countries ( China , Japan , Thailand , India , and Burma ). Gigantochloa manggong (Bamboo Manggong) is an endemic bamboo East Java, Gigantochloa lear (lear Pring) is often used for furniture, crafts, or roof of the house, Dendrocalamus asper (pring petung) rebungnya to eat, and Schizostachyum silicatum ( bamboo wuluh ) for flute.
 

Nails

Collection of ferns arranged under large, shady trees, because these plants love the shade and damp places. The collection reached 60 species from 36 genera and 21 tribes. Among these birds nest spikes (Asplenium nidus), maidenhair ferns (Adiantum spp.), hata (Lygodium circinnatum), and nail antlers / simbar deer (Platycerium coronarium). There are some other useful collections of ferns, such as nails vegetables (Athyrium esculentum) of edible shoots, Asplenium sp. and Adiantum sp. as ornamental plants, horsetail Equisetum debile as a medicinal, Cyathea contaminans as a growing medium of orchids, and hata Lygodium circinnatum as a craft.
 

Drugs

Located in the plot XIV G and VA, arranged in such a way as to serve as an attractive garden to be enjoyed. Jawi Temple

 

Jawi temple is a temple which was built around the 13th century and is a historical relic Hindu - Buddhist kingdom Singhasari in sub Prigen , Pasuruan , East Java , Indonesia . The temple is located in the middle of the highway between Pandaan District - District Prigen and Pringebukan. Jawi temple many thought of as a place of worship or places of worship Buddha, but it is actually a place where the ashes of the king's last Singhasari , Kertanegara . Some of the ash is also stored in the temple Singhasari . Both of these temples has to do with Jago temple which is a place of worship of King Kertanegara.    

Kertanegara reason Jawi temple built far from the royal center for the region's alleged followers of the teachings of Shiva-Buddha is very strong. The people in that area are very loyal. Even Kertanegara known as a famous king, he also had many enemies in the country. Flag Song of Wijayakrama, for example, mentions the revolt Kelana Bayangkara. Negarakertagama Cayaraja noted the rebellion. There are allegations that the area used as a base by Jawi temple Kertanegara supporters. Structure and use of buildings

History of the temple by Negarakertagama

 
Negarakertagama mention, in the chambers of the temple there is a statue of Shiva . On it there is a statue of Shiva statue Supreme Aksobaya which have now been lost. The restoration and conservation effort

Statue of Durga is now stored at the Museum Professor Tantular , Surabaya . Others are stored at the Museum Trowulan for security. While others still, like statues Brahmin , was not found. Might have gone to pieces. In the warehouse behind the temple there are pieces of sculpture. In addition, there is a red brick fence as often found in buildings in the kingdom of Majapahit , as Rat Temple in Trowulan and Temple Bajangratu in Mojokerto.
 

Transfer of historic heritage

 
Relics statues found in Jawi Temple was moved, mostly to the Museum , and partly to the commercial. Removal of statues of Jawi temple temple or the other has received much criticism from historians and local people, because even on the right side to prevent it from theft , this transfer is thought to reduce the substance of the history of these relics, so be incomplete to be appreciated. Statues moved from habitats to lose its historical value. Jawi temple statues are stored in Monument Park Hotel , Malang , for example, was well maintained, but be deprived of historical value and the spirituality and thing that tends to be a dilemma.

Taman Candra Wilwatikta

Taman Candra Wilwatikta ini pertama kali di buat 1963 di atas tanah seluas 12,3 hektare
tujuan di bangunnya taman candra wilwatikta ini sebagai pusat kesenian dan budaya.
hal ini bisa di lihat dari panggung terbuka yang luas, diapit dua patung arca dwarapala dan dilengkapi dengan ornamen-ornamen khas candi menambah kesan, mewah ( bukan mepet sawah ), eksotis, dan waaaaah!! ketika kita masuk. Taman candra wilwatikta yang terletak ± 2 km dari Candi Jawi sendiri sangat populer di era orde baru, pernah di gunakan sebagai ajang Sendratari Ramayana Internasional ( mantap...) pada 1971.

Sebelum memasuki area Candra wilwatikta kita akan di sambut oleh beberapa ekor rusa.
Setiap sore banyak bapak / ibu² yang membawa anak²nya sekedar jalan-jalan atau melihat rusa ( termasuk saya ).

Bila di lihat dari depan kita bisa melihat dua gapura yang ada di tengah, dan anak tangga yang berada di depan tepat berada di tengah gunung penanggungan. Panggung yang megah di tambah background Gunung penanggungan yang gagah, wah indah banget.

Area pementasan ini selain ada panggung juga ada tempat duduk dari beton yang mampu menampung ± 500 penonton.
bila dilihat dari atas ( Google Earth ) maka area pementasan ini berbentuk segi lima...unik sekali kan.
Selain area pementasan ada juga tempat penginapan di candra wilwatikta.Taman candra wilwatikta ini juga sering di gunakan untuk lomba², seperti lomba burung, lomba memanah dan lain sebagainya. Pendopo serba guna biasanya di gunakan untuk resepsi pernikahan atau kegiatan² resmi instansi pemerintahan. Sayang sekali, semakin lama Taman Candra Wilwatikta ini sepertinya kurang terurus. Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur segera merevitalisasi Taman Chandra Wilwatikta Pandaan Pasuruan untuk difungsikan kembali sebagai Pusat Kesenian dan Kebudayaan di provinsi itu. Kondisi ini disebabkan pengelola Taman Chandra Wilwatikta mengalami kesulitan dana pengelolaannya. Meski banyak acara digelar di tempat yang bersejarah tersebut, tapi biaya yang diperolehnya tak seimbang dengan biaya pengelolaan.” Inisiatif proses revitalisasi dating dari Gubernur Jawa Timur, Soekarwo, namun prosesnya akan tetap melibatkan pengelolanya.
